Every year, China gets closer to its goal of surpassing the United States as the world’s main superpower. Wisconsinites feel the impact of China’s push for dominance every day when it comes to Made in China goods flooding the market or Chinese corporations buying up American farmland.
Tammy is steadfast in her commitment to winning the competition with China and putting Wisconsin workers first in the world economy. She is dedicated to holding the Chinese Communist Party accountable for its efforts to undermine American businesses and American freedoms.
Tammy voted to pass the CHIPS and Science Act which will encourage companies to make computer chips in America again, and not in China or Taiwan. Manufacturers across Wisconsin backed the law because boosting domestic production of semiconductor chips means a stronger supply chain, a stronger economy, and lower prices for Wisconsin businesses and consumers. Now, Tammy is pushing to bring high tech domestic manufacturing in the semiconductor industry to Wisconsin to great good, high paying jobs for Wisconsinites.
Tammy is also the author of the Farmland Security Act, which requires transparency for farmland purchases because foreign buyers, especially those backed by China and other foreign governments, are buying up American farmland. In the last decade, foreign-owned agricultural acreage has nearly doubled. This bill will protect the longevity of the Wisconsin family farm operation for generations.
