Over 200 SENIORS FOR TAMMY Announced at Event Highlighting Tammy Baldwin’s Leadership to Protect Their Care, Retirement

“Tammy’s work for Wisconsin seniors — including her efforts to strengthen and protect Social Security and Medicare — stands in stark contrast to Leah Vukmir”

MADISON — Seniors from across Wisconsin today announced SENIORS FOR TAMMY, a coalition of over 200 Wisconsin seniors who are backing Tammy Baldwin and standing up against special interests attacks on their health care.

“Today, I’m honored to receive the support of over 200 seniors from across Wisconsin,” said Tammy Baldwin. “As someone who was raised by my grandparents, and then served as my grandmother’s primary caregiver, I’m proud to join these Wisconsinites in standing up to protect their health care, lower prescription drug prices, and strengthen Social Security and Medicare.”

“Tammy’s work for Wisconsin seniors — including her efforts to strengthen and protect Social Security and Medicare — stands in stark contrast to Leah Vukmir,” said Claudia Progreba, a Wisconsin retiree. “Worst of all, Leah Vukmir has an abysmal record when it comes to supporting Alzheimer’s and dementia research and treatments here in Wisconsin.”

These 200+ Wisconsinites have joined SENIORS FOR TAMMY to support Tammy Baldwin’s work to do right by our seniors. In the Senate, Tammy Baldwin has passed bipartisan legislation to support family caregivers and she is leading efforts to protect and strengthen Social Security and Medicare.

For seniors facing skyrocketing prescription drug costs, Tammy Baldwin has stood up to big pharma by leading the charge on allowing Medicare to finally negotiate lower drug prices for the millions of Americans enrolled in Medicare Part D and introducing a bipartisan bill with the late Senator John McCain to hold pharmaceutical corporations accountable for price hikes.
