Press Release: New Ad “Skills” Highlights Tammy Baldwin’s Work to Close Wisconsin Skills Gap and Boost Apprenticeships

WISCONSIN – Tammy Baldwin for Senate today released a new ad, “Skills,” featuring Tammy’s work to close Wisconsin’s skills gap and strengthen job training programs for Wisconsin workers.

While there are millions of jobs available in America that need to be filled, there aren’t enough workers with the right training.

“Skills” highlights how Tammy’s landmark job training legislation, the PARTNERS Act, would help Wisconsin-based manufacturers like RenewAire train people for the good-paying jobs that are out there.

Tammy’s PARTNERS Act would scale up Wisconsin’s apprenticeship programs and invest in public-private partnerships between schools and local businesses that are training future Wisconsin workers.

“We make state-of-the-art indoor air quality systems, but it’s always a challenge to find the people with the advanced skills that we need,” said Chuck Gates, CEO of RenewAire. “What Tammy Baldwin is doing is really important to businesses like ours.
