GRANTON, Wis. – In case you missed it, Tammy launched her “Rural Leaders for Tammy” coalition and wrapped up her rural Wisconsin tour to highlight the importance of our farmers, rural businesses and agribusinesses, and rural Wisconsinites’ voices this Election Day.
“Wisconsin is a proud rural state known for its world-class agriculture and the best workers in the world,” said Tammy Baldwin. “I know our farmers and rural communities always have our backs, which is why I promise I’m going to have their backs in Washington. Because when our rural communities thrive, Wisconsin thrives.”
Day 1
Tammy launched her “Rural Leaders for Tammy” coalition with a tour of a 500 cow family-owned dairy farm in Merrill where she was joined by Lincoln County supporters.
As the proud Senator of America’s Dairyland, Tammy of course had to take a picture with one of the farm’s dairy cows.
Tammy wrapped up Day 1 with a tour of iconic Wisconsin brewery, Leinenkugel’s, where she was joined by Chippewa and Dunn County supporters.
Day 2
To kick off Day 2 of her tour, Tammy weathered the storm for a tour of a family-owned cattle farm in New London.
After the farm tour, Tammy joined Waupaca and Outagamie County supporters and 8th CD candidate, Dr. Kristin Lyerly, for a conversation about the ways Democrats are working to support Wisconsin farmers and rural communities.
Tammy rounded out her tour in Granton where she was joined by local leaders and students, to talk about her work to invest in our rural public schools and expand higher education and workforce opportunities for our rural students.
