Wisconsin Laborers’ District Council Endorses Tammy Baldwin for U.S. Senate, Highlighting Wins for Wisconsin Workers

Today, the Wisconsin Laborers’ District Council announced their endorsement for Tammy Baldwin’s U.S. Senate reelection campaign.

“Senator Baldwin voted to make historic investments in our state’s infrastructure building our roads, bridges, renewable energy, and high-tech manufacturing projects through the passage of the IIJA, IRA, and CHIPS Act,” said Kent Miller, President/Business Manager of the Wisconsin Laborers’ District Council. “These investments are helping grow our economy and creating great-paying jobs and pathways to lifelong careers working in the building and construction trades.”

“Wisconsin unions are the backbone of our state, and working people in every community deserve a Senator who’s committed to bringing home Made in Wisconsin jobs and building a stronger economy that works for us all,” said Tammy Baldwin. “It is an honor to receive the support of the hardworking men and women of the Wisconsin Laborers’ District Council, and I promise that I am going to keep standing shoulder to shoulder with them in the fight for more jobs, higher wages, and better benefits for all of our workers.”

Tammy Baldwin has served Wisconsin in the Senate since 2013. She has worked with Republicans and Democrats to take on the biggest fights and win, passing legislation to promote Made in America manufacturing, lower the price of prescription drugs like insulin, and expand health care for veterans. She is the author of the Women’s Health Protection Act which guarantees equal access to abortion everywhere in the United States.
