DC Special Interests that Support Outsourcing US Jobs Launch False Negative Attacks
MILWAUKEE — Tammy Baldwin for US Senate Senior Adviser Phil Walzak today issued the following statement in response to the false, misleading attack ads launched by DC special interests that support the outsourcing of American jobs overseas:
“Powerful DC special interests are eager to send a right-wing Republican to the U.S. Senate who will rubberstamp their corporate agenda, including outsourcing American jobs overseas. Now they are attacking Tammy Baldwin because she has spent her career standing up for the middle class. Jeff Fitzgerald, Mark Neumann and Tommy Thompson are all benefiting from these misleading ads, now they need to explain to the people of Wisconsin why they embrace false attacks from DC special interests who get rich by shipping good-paying Wisconsin jobs to countries like China.”

1. Baldwin Voted to Extend Bush Tax Cuts to Low-And-Middle Income Americans, Eliminate Cuts For Wealthy. On December 02, 2010, Baldwin voted for legislation that would make permanent the 2001 and 2003 tax cuts, also known as the Bush tax cuts, on income under $200,000 for individuals and $250,000 for married couples. It would eliminate the tax breaks for the top two percent of Americans, saving $70 billion over the next ten years. The extensions would also include current lower tax rates for capital gains and dividends, elimination of the “marriage penalty” and an expansion of the increased child tax credit.
