It's really been an exhilarating couple of days for me and, I'm sure, for all Wisconsin Democrats. Two weeks after 22 states held their primaries and caucuses on one day, it's so exciting that right now Wisconsin matters in such a big way. The Democratic nominees are here and the nation's eyes are on us!
This weekend, along with about 1,600 other optimistic Democrats and a huge pack of reporters, cameramen, and bloggers, I attended the DWP's annual Founders Day event with Tammy. What an evening! After Tammy and a few other elected officials gave inspired speeches, both Senators Clinton and Obama took turns engaging the crowd.
Looking around the huge ballroom at the tables full of people from labor unions, organizations, and businesses, I could practically see the energy. It's so thrilling to be part of the momentum that's happening across the entire state.
And it's like Tammy said in her speech on Saturday: after seven long years in the wasteland of the Bush administration, we don't have to choose between the lesser of two evils. Tomorrow Wisconsin gets to choose between two amazing candidates.
