Some of you have been involved in my political career long before anyone heard of the Internet. Others of you have been IMing, blogging, and on MySpace since – well, probably long before I heard of such things!
But the Internet as a communication tool has certainly made its way into our lives. It’s time I jump into the 21st century and use it to build, and stay in touch with, an online community of support.
So starting today, and continuing on a weekly basis, my staff and I will use this page of my website to keep you up-to-date with the work I’m doing on the issues we all care about. Issues like health care, ending the war in Iraq, holding the Bush administration accountable, advancing the Employment Non-Discrimination Act, and responding to the challenge of global warming.
I’ll write about events from my week, fill you in on my legislative initiatives, and highlight ways you can help keep me serving you in Congress. There’s so much I want to share with you about my work… so be sure to check back here every Monday.

P.S. In terms of what I was up to last week in DC... I testified before a committee in favor of the Employment Non-Discrimination Act of 2007. I testified before another committee on behalf of my bill to protect and preserve the most endangered family of birds in the world. I got several amendments added to the Patent Reform bill. And on Saturday I spoke at Fighting Bob Fest, which has to be one of the most inspiring and invigorating events we have in this state. All in all, an awesome week!
